Wine

My oenological dream started modestly on 2 small vineyards with few vines from the family estate. In the course of time, this has grown into 42 plots, spread over a total of 6 hectares of land.

The VitiVinicola I Fracc winery was born with great passion in 2009. It is located at 280 meters above sea level on the hills of Monte Carasso in the Bellinzonas region. A limited annual production allows me to follow the entire processing step by step, down to the smallest detail. On my I Fracc estate I produce two types of Merlot. One is the classic DUEttO, which matures in small stainless-steel barrels, and the other is the DUEttO Barrique, which matures for a few months in Swiss oak barrels of the “Terroir Chêne” brand.

The DUEttO Barrique 2014 gold medal in the Merlot category
at the Grand Prix du Vin suisse 2016.

As a reward for my loving and careful work on the vines, the first successes and two awards came. In 2016 my DUEttO Barrique vintage 2014 won the gold medal at the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse. My IDO vintage 2017 won the silver medal at the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse in 2019 as well. These successes are an additional motivation for me to devote all my energy to the care and maintenance of my vines and wines every day.
